SahyunNim Victor Teran to be Inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame

Costa Mesa, CA – SahyunNim Victor Teran, a 7th Dan Black Belt in Taekwon-Do, will be inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame at the 20th Anniversary Awards Banquet on Saturday, July 27, at the Hilton Orange County Costa Mesa, California.
Costa Mesa, CA – SahyunNim Victor Teran, a 7th Dan Black Belt in Taekwon-Do, will be inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame at the 20th Anniversary Awards Banquet on Saturday, July 27, at the Hilton Orange County Costa Mesa. The event will feature Dr. Robert Goldman as Grandmaster of Ceremonies and action film star Sifu Cynthia Rothrock as Keynote Speaker.
Master Teran began his martial arts at an early age, receiving his 1st Dan Black Belt at the age of 13. As a youth he participated in several regional and national competitions, bringing home both gold and silver medals. His dedication and determination resulted in invitations to train in South Korea with the Korean Olympic Team and later to take part in the United States Olympic Team trials.
After graduation, Master Teran joined the U.S. Marine Corps, rising to the rank of sergeant and becoming a Marine Corps Martial Arts/Close Combat Instructor trainer. Following eight years in the Marines, he spent more than ten years in Iraq working with the U.S State Department as a Private Security Contractor and Agent-in-Charge before returning to the United States to concentrate on teaching Taekwon-Do
Currently Master Teran runs the highly successful International Taekwon-Do Academy in Jersey City, NJ, which has received numerous awards for excellence. Master Teran also gives back to his community through organizations such as the Play4Autism Foundation. Meanwhile, he continues his own studies in Taekwon-Do under Great Grandmaster Kwang Duk Chung.

The association recognizes exceptional Martial Arts Leaders and Legends through induction into the Masters Hall of Fame.
